PROTON NAMED ONE OF THE OFFICIAL VEHICLES OF THE 19TH ASIAN GAMES HANGZHOU 2022
Subang Jaya, 22 January 2022 - PROTON is proud to announce that it has been named one of the Official Vehicle brands of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, as part of the brands under the Geely Auto Group – an Official Prestige Partner for the Asian Games. This recognition not only offers opportunities to support the largest multi-sports event in Asia - to be held in the city of Hangzhou, in Zhejiang province, China, from 10 to 25 September 2022, but also further enhances prominence for Malaysia’s national car brand in markets across Asia. All of PROTON’s current models, namely the Proton Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga, X50 and X70, will carry the title of Official Vehicle of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.

Capturing the Malaysian passion and support for sports
As one of the supporters of the games, PROTON is calling on all Malaysians to support the games and our national athletes who are aiming to deliver their best in Asian Games. To achieve this, PROTON is rolling out a nationwide campaign to drive excitement in the leadup to the event, by celebrating the passion for sports among the people and highlighting the role of sports in nurturing unity, besides promoting fitness and sports activities. The campaign also aims to strengthen PROTON’s connection with the public, in line with this year’s games slogan - "Heart to Heart, @Future”.

Not-to-be-missed activities
PROTON’s campaign in conjunction with the Hangzhou 2022 games will kick off with the “PROTON Ignite Your Life contest” where customers stand a chance to win prizes when they book and register any Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga, X50 or X70 from 1 February to 31 July 2022. The attractive prizes include the Grand Prize of an exclusive trip to Hangzhou to experience the games live, as well as monthly prizes such as e-vouchers for sporting products.
